This is an introductory training program for young gymnasts (ages 4 to 8) who possess qualities that may allow them to advance to our Interclub, Xcel, or Competitive pathways. The main focus of this program is to provide younger gymnasts with a strong foundation, such as proper basics, strength, and flexibility, so that they can progress in the sport of gymnastics safely and successfully.
Gymnasts in this program will participate in a variety of in-house events and may be invited to take part in selected competitions to showcase their progress and gain exposure to gymnastics events. The emphasis in participating in such events will be the learning of competition etiquette as well as confidence building. As artistry is becoming more integral in the sport of gymnastics, gymnasts in the pre-competitive program will also be introduced to dancing and musicality and may learn a group routine to perform at the end of the year at either an in-house or alternate event.
